The Bandung Design Biennale [BDB] 2021 introduces "Excavate: Mapping The Commons Across The Spectrum" as its central theme. Taking place from November 5 to 27, BDB 2021 aims to provide a platform for deeper exploration of all knowledge related to design and creativity in the city of Bandung, particularly highlighting aspects that may have been overlooked by the general public. Spanning 23 locations throughout Bandung, all findings will be presented to the public through exhibitions, discourses, and workshops conducted both offline and online. Through an excavation process, each discovery serves as a guide to understanding the involvement and connections of various elements: disciplines, practitioners, and knowledge within.
As part of the process, BDB 2021 will go through stages of identification, interaction, and participation, collectively aiming to generate alternative thoughts and practices, while also enriching the potential and solutions for the community. I focus on content creation for social media, designing editorial posters, scheduling events, and assisting in conceptualizing signage and main attractions for the event themed around excavating.
